Our Mandate
Under Resolution 90/26, Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation (NALSC) received a mandate from the Chiefs of Treaty No. 9 to promote creative community based justice systems. Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation has been serving the members of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) since April 1, 1990. NALSC is owned by the First Nations of Nishnawbe Aski Nation. The mandate of the Corporation includes legal, paralegal, public legal education and law-reform services.
