STIRLAND LAKE & CRISTAL LAKE
A decision on the motion to add Stirland Lake and Cristal Lake schools to the Indian Residential Schools Settlement (IRSS) Agreement was made on August 16, 2011.
The court decision by Chief Justice Winkler of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario added Stirland Lake and Cristal Lake to the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement (IRSSA). The court decision means former students of these schools will now be eligible to apply for the Common Experience Payment (CEP) and the Independent Assessment Process (IAP).
